Fancy a high-paying job with royal perks, literally? Well, this might be your lucky day because The Queen is hiring full-time staff!

In the list of job vacancies listed by The Royal Household, several are live-in positions at the Buckingham Palace! This means that you will be sharing the same home with several royals. Wow.

The following are the positions that needed to be filled up at the Buckingham Palace, with the corresponding closing date for application submissions:

  • Visitor Services Project Assistant; August 19, 2018
  • Kitchen Porter; August 24, 2018
  • Ticket Sales and Information Assistant; August 26, 2018
  • Palace Attendant; August 26, 2018
  • Assistant Housekeeper; August 31, 2018
  • Sous Chef; September 5, 2018
  • Retail Assistant; September 5, 2018

All the positions have competitive salaries; though the compensation and living/dining arrangements depend on the job. Some positions pay by the hour while most pay a fixed income per month.

For example, the kitchen porter is paid £19,935.80 ($25,340) per annum + a 15% employer contribution pension scheme, with the worker required to work in a full-time position with 2 days off. The position also offers 33 days holiday, just in case you need to take a break from your duties in the royal household. While the job entails work at the Buckingham Palace, workers might also be brought along when the royals travel across the country or abroad.

Meanwhile, a retail assistant is paid £10.20 ($13) per hour, with 15% employer contribution pension scheme. While the position is permanent, hired workers live out of the palace; however, they will be provided with lunch.

Most of the job listings do not require previous experience, especially because training for the role will be provided; however, you are expected to be an outstanding team player who enjoys working alongside other people.

Hired workers are also expected to be keen in developing their skills and gaining experience in the trainings provided.

Because the workers will be assigned at the Buckingham Palace, there’s always that big chance of meeting The Queen in person.

One last thing, applications will only be honored if the applicant is either a British citizen or cleared to work in the UK.
