Who will not love desserts right after meal or have it served during snack time? Of course, Filipinos are just a few of the nationals who are into sweet foodstuff. As a matter of fact, Filipinos have their own list of favorites from a variety of desserts.

Desserts are yummy foods that are packed with sweetness and distinct flavors. Aside from being served after meals or merienda time, the desserts are also served during special holidays. These include Christmas, Fiesta, Birthdays and many more.

No matter what occasion there is, I also have my own list of favorite desserts just like any other Filipinos. So check this out!

3. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

One of the Filipino desserts that I love is the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. It is because the cake has pineapple rings on the upper and bottom parts that make it very tasty yet nutritious. Another thing that I love is the delightful texture and sweetness that it brings into my taste buds. Overall, the cake is definitely delicious and is worth a slice.

2. Ginataan

Just like me, I’m sure that ginataan is also one of the favorites of Filipinos. It becomes a favorite because of the luscious aroma and yummy flavor from one of the main ingredients which is the gata or coconut milk. Moreover, the tasting experience is made more superb with the various kinds of ingredients. Inclusions to these are sweet potato, banana, sugar, jack fruit, taro, purple yam and many more. Besides, these ingredients are affordable and I can make my own anytime.

1. Mango Float

The Mango Float is one of my favorite Filipino desserts. In this foodstuff, mango is featured. Knowing mango, it has its own delightful flavor that makes me crave for more. In addition, when this is combined with Graham crackers, milk, and cream, I am just not far away from ultimate delight.

There is a wide range of Filipino desserts that can hook your taste. It may not be mentioned earlier but whatever it is, surely there is a reason why you like or love a particular foodstuff. Nonetheless, the criteria would be the taste and its appeal to you.
